
is an associate attorney at SBBL Law, where he defends clients facing serious state and federal charges throughout Michigan, from misdemeanors to felonies. Jacob brings strong legal research and writing skills to craft thoughtful, detailed briefs for clients filing motions and appeals. Jacob is an empathetic listener and a compassionate advocate. He works closely with senior attorneys in all stages of litigation, from pretrial strategy and evidentiary analysis to hearings and motion practice.

Jacob earned his Juris Doctor from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, where he served as a Staff Editor for the Global Studies Law Review and published his own research in The Enduring and Controversial Legacy of the Nuremberg Trials. While in law school, he represented clients as a student attorney in the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic. Before transferring to WashU, Jacob attended Emory University School of Law, where he was a merit scholar and participated in the Supreme Court Advocacy Program.
Before heading to law school, Jacob graduated summa cum laude from the University of Michigan–Flint with a Bachelor of Arts in History, where he was active in Model United Nations and Phi Alpha Theta, the national history honor society. Additionally, he participated in the Wyatt Exploration Program, which included a study abroad trip to Japan.
Outside of his legal work, Jacob is an Eagle Scout and enjoys woodworking, hiking, and camping throughout the Midwest.
